More on the power of BitTorrent: OJ’s “confession” leaked to BT It is quite intriguing that “sensitive” or banned material can be leaked in this way. Thing is, it must be relatively obvious who did it?

And again on piracy/ hacking. Harry Potter has been spoiled, via an alleged hack at Bloomsbury. Oops. Who thinks it’s accurate? Who knows what kind of protection Bloomsbury has? Who knows if they are even silly enough to keep digital versions on networked machines? Still, at least if it gets pirated, no one will need to worry about the book trade losing even more money by actually trying to ship, sell and read the thing. But, right now, I wouldn’t want to work for Bloomsbury’s IT dept, or his agent, for that matter.
