48 Hours

That’s right, entries for Coversourcing close at midnight on Sunday (midnight being an arbitrary point between the actual midnight, if we’re still awake, and first thing Monday morning). We know you designer-y types like working to a deadline, so now is your last chance.

Once the submissions are closed, there’s another two weeks of voting to be done, so if you feel (like many appear to!) that the current Top 20 is unrepresentative, now’s the time to get in there, tell your friends, vote and make your choices heard.

The last few days have seen a flurry of activity, and we’ve even been forced to ban a couple of people who simply refused, despite many polite emails, to desist from rude behaviour. But we hope these last two weeks will see some really great design get its fair dues from the crowd.

    Hi APT,

I’m really amazed how badly this competition has been run.

You really should have thought it through.

It’s purely a popularity contest. If you’ve got no mates, you’re doomed to fail.

Also, if people want to leave purile comments or pose as somebody else, you should let them. That’s the nature of the internet. You don’t know who people are. It’s just another symptom of how badly this is organised. You’ve made your bed so tuck yourself in for the next 2 weeks. Don’t move the goalposts now just because you don’t like what people are saying.

What’s the difference between people who say things you don’t like and people who vote for things you don’t like. Nothing.

At the end of the day, you need to embrace democracy warts and all and that means people saying what they like.

Banning the people because you don’t like what they say is undemocratic. Banning people who are leaving p1$$ taking comments is akin to banning the Raving Loony Party.

    Rant over.

    Hi,

I uploaded my cover design entry to Flickr days ago and it has never appeared on the crowdsourcing website despite being tagged correctly, and classed as uploaded on the 7th Feb.

If there is still time please could you include my entry in the competition - as far as I can see I have followed all the rules and met the deadline but it has failed to show.

    My entry is at:

    Many thanks,
