However, the Top 20 is selected on average score: so one with 5 votes, but all of them a 5 (out of 5 stars), will rank higher than one with a thousand votes and an average of one. The two week voting period after entry is to allow some of this stuff to settle back down. Indeed, there is an argument that an "old" entry with lots of votes has a harder job - as each vote for it makes less of an impact on the average, either up or down. But let's ignore that for now.
