Apt’s links for July 17th

  • Google Maps – “(not) world music”. Imagine going on one of the most luxurious cruises and being accompanied by some of the sweetest sounds ever committed to mp3dom.” Nice cover art.
  • Bad News For The Kindle: iPhone 3G + Apps (AAPL, AMZN) – Comment: “I don’t think the iPhone can compete as a dedicated e-Reader. Firstly, the screen is rather small. Secondly, you can’t get new books for it–only those in the public domain which means rather old works.”
  • iTunes Store – Oh, goodie. One of my favourite toolbar apps (instapaper – a “save it to read later” bookmarker) now downloads those articles direct to my iPhone. Cool!
